Fight for the Future shouts and sends another message Our last email was long and this one is short ” mass survellance Edward Snowden are you pissed of ?”
Tomorrow is the 4th of July. A formidable coalition of Internet Defense League members will launch the largest online protest since SOPA, to amplify the Restore the Fourth street protests happening around the country and call for an end to illegal U.S. Government spying.
But we need to get the 4th Amendment on TV — in the key states where Intelligence Committee members who support the NSA program are in: CA, AZ, DC, MI, VA. We’re going to run this television ad in cities across the country with the text of the 4th Amendment and a message against unconstitutional NSA surveillance. We need 1,000 people to donate $25 each in the next 6 hours to make it happen.
We’re hustling on our end to raise the rest of the money, but with you’re help we guarantee we’ll get these ads on CNN on the 4th of July and then have them play again during the Sunday morning news, for maximum exposure. Click here to donate.
In 100 cities across the U.S., people will take over the streets at Restore the Fourth protests. Tech companies and advocacy groups from across the political spectrum will rally online and fly the “Cat Signal.”
If you don’t have a website:
The coalition is HUGE. Reddit, 4chan, Mozilla, Namecheap, Imgur, Fark, iFixit, Cheezburger, TOR Project, and thousands of others sites are helping, plus groups like the EFF, Demand Progress, OpenMedia, Downsize DC, Occupy Wall St NYC, and MoveOn.
Will you help us get this ad on TV and make a big statement to the Congresspeople who are enabling these programs? They’re also the Congresspeople who accept the most in donations from the NSA-related companies.
If you can’t donate but want to do something else right now — help us gather some supporters?
With the support we’re already seeing, this is going to be our largest Internet Defense League protest ever. Stand with us on July 4th and we can make something amazing happen.
We’ll see you in the streets, look for the Cat Signal.
